Author Archives: Neolithic Greece

We are pleased to remind you that we have a Publication Agreement with International Monographs in Prehistory: Ann Arbor (MI). All Ann Arbor books are handled by Oxbow Books and their American branch Casemate Academic that ensure a broad visibility of the volume. Ann Arbor provides 40% discount on the standard price to all contributors. After the submission of the final (edited and proof-red) manuscript the time needed to have the volume printed and published is approximately six months. Each participant (editors and contributors) needs to sign a publication agreement with Ann Arbor that will be provided by the Publisher in due course. Therefore, it is now important to let us know as soon as possible your availability or unavailability to participate in this volume.

Papers will be submitted in English and should not exceed 6000 words (including bibliography). Illustrations (figures, maps, pictures) will be printed in black and white, while in exceptional cases coloured illustrations can be considered after evaluation. Papers will be peer-reviewed by a committee of experts and feedback will be sent to you after the evaluation process. Style and Submission instructions from the Publisher can be found here.

Considering the deadline for submission of papers for the proceedings, we are strongly encouraging all participants to submit their papers by Friday, the 31th of July 2015. The deadline is firm and we would appreciate it if you can keep it so that we can comply with the rules of the publisher. and the deadlines set up by our project IGEAN which made possible for this conference to happen. We are hoping to your kind understanding and cooperation provided that adequate time will be needed for editing, proofreading, peer-reviewed and a variety of editing tasks.

You are kindly suggested to submit your manuscript through the Submission page. Use your personal Submission ID and Password that was sent to you by e-mail after the submission of your proposals.

IGEAN project conducts – for the first time – a systematic and extensive geophysical survey of a large number of Neolithic sites (magoules) at Thessaly. The sites investigated were selected based on a number of criteria in order to explore residential patterns in them in order to have comparable data, with a view to be used and approach wider geographical entities in the future.

For more information visit the website of the IGEAN project (in Greek language only).
